wrought; working. n. 1. exertion or effort

So all this
spouting off about unpopular ideals and ways of thinking
surely must be the sign of a someone who has little
better to do with his time than play, you say. Heh.
Indeed. God has been extremely good to me in life. Just
two years ago, I was plugging away slowly through school,
working 70+ hours per week in a field that I got no
enjoyment from, and had no future for me. But now....
I currently am employed by the Rite Aid Corporation
as a Systems Engineer. And I have never been happier
in my life. You'll find that my resume
is a bit out-dated. In fact, it is very out-dated. In
the last year, I have gained so much experience that
it would necessitate a complete overhaul of my resume,
if I were to actually think of looking elsewhere for
employment. As a UNIX geek (and rather proud of it,
thank you very much), I have had quite a bit of experience
in networking in general, as well as shell scripting,
C programming, and Systems Administration. But since
I've been fortunate enough to be working for Rite Aid,
I've more than doubled my skill-set. For my most commonly
used languages, I can tout C, COBOL, UNIX shell, CICS,
Visual Basic, and a bit of C++. Daily I'm working with
JCL, SCL, and DB2 on IBM's OS/390's, as well as connecting
NT thin clients to SCO V servers running Oracle 7.3.
Lately, I've also had the pleasure of working with drugstore.com in integrating mainframe CICS legacy
code with some seriously cool DEC Alphas, along with
Visual Basic/Oracle 8.0.5, etc. Fun stuff. Seriously.
I have never been happier in my life as far as work
goes.
